Dr. Stephen E. Post, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Board of Ophthalmology, has based his practice in Alameda, California since 1985. A proud graduate of Duke Medical School, Dr. Post completed his ophthalmology residency at Stanford University and Georgetown University. Though he specializes in cataracts, glaucoma and retinal related problems, Dr. Post also sees patients for medical related eye complications as well as routine eye exams. For patients with surgical needs, Dr. Post has privileges at Alameda Hospital, Summit Hospital located in Oakland and Alta Bates Hospital located in Berkeley. Aside from his busy practice, Dr. Post devotes one day a week to a community health clinic in Oakland ? La Clinica de la Raza, where he treats advanced cases of eye diseases. He has earned various prestigious recognition for his contribution to the community and once served as president for the East Bay Eye Society.
